Portland est un bonnet au style hipster avec une bande repliée en côtes fantaisie.
Les finitions sont très soignées.
Il est tricoté de bas en haut sans couture.
La bande en côtes fantaisie est cousue grâce à un rabattage à 3 aiguilles.
Le corps du bonnet ainsi que la couronne de diminutions sont travaillés en jersey endroit.

TAILLES : 1 (2) 3 (4)
Pour un tour de tête de 54-56 (56-58) 58-60 (60-62) cm.

ÉCHANTILLON : 23 m x 32 rgs pour 10 x 10 cm tricoté en jersey en aiguilles 3,5 mm ou toute autre taille d’aiguilles qui permette d’obtenir l’échantillon donné.

AISANCE RECOMMANDÉE :
Il est conseillé de choisir une taille avec une aisance négative de 7 à 12 cm afin que le bonnet tienne bien sur la tête.
Pour choisir la meilleure taille, mesurer votre tour de tête et enlever l’aisance souhaitée, puis choisir la taille la plus proche de ce nombre.

LAINE : Le bonnet se tricote avec deux fils tenus ensemble : un fil de fingering (50g = 200m) et un fil de lace (25g = 200m) tenus ensemble.
Environ 200 (200) 250 (250)m de chaque fils.
Il peut également être utilisé un seul fil d’épaisseur DK (50g = 100m) pour un rendu plus sport.

MATÉRIEL :
- Aiguilles suggérées de 3mm et 3,5mm.
- 1 câble de 40 cm puis un grand câble de 80cm minimum pour finir le bonnet en magic-loop et mettre les mailles en attente.
- Aiguille à laine
- 3 anneaux marqueur amovibles

TECHNIQUES : Mailles endroit, mailles envers, Judy’ Magic cast-on, 2 mailles ensemble, GGT, Magic loop, rabattage à 3 aiguilles.

MODELE DE PRESENTATION : Le modèle est tricoté en Arwetta (80% mérino 20% nylon) coloris 352 - Ecureuil et Tilia (70% mohair 30% soie) coloris 352 - Ecureuil.
Il est présenté en taille 2  pour un tour de tête de 57 cm.

Portland is a hipster-style hat with a folded fancy rib band.
The finishing is very neat.
It is knitted from the bottom up, seamlessly.
A Judy's Magic cast-on allows the fancy rib band to be sewn using a 3-needle bind-off.
The body of the hat and the decrease crown are worked in stocking stitch.

SIZES : 1 (2) 3 (4)
For a head circumference of 54-56 (56-58) 58-60 (60-62) cm.

GAUGE : 23 sts x 32 rows to 10 x 10 cm worked in garter stitch on 3.5 mm needles, or any other needle size needed to obtain the given tension.

RECOMMENDED EASE:
It is recommended to choose a size with a negative ease of 7 to 12 cm so the hat fits snugly on the head.
To choose the best size, measure your head circumference and subtract the desired ease, then choose the size closest to that figure.

YARN : The hat is knitted holding two yarns together:
- A fingering weight yarn (50g = 200m) 
- And a lace weight yarn (25g = 200m) held together.
Approximately 200 (200) 250 (250)m of each yarn.
A single DK weight yarn (50g = 100m) may also be used for a sportier finish.

MATERIALS :
- Suggested needles of 3mm and 3.5mm.
- 1 x 40 cm cable, then a longer 80 cm minimum cable to finish the hat using magic-loop and to place stitches on hold.
- Tapestry needle
- 3 removable stitch markers 

TECHNIQUES : Knit stitch, purl stitch, Judy's Magic cast-on, knit 2 together, SSK, Magic loop, 3-needle bind-off.

SAMPLE : The sample is knitted in Arwetta (80% merino 20% nylon) shade 352 - Squirrel, and Tilia (70% mohair 30% silk) shade 352 - Squirrel, from Filcolana.
It is shown in size 2 for a head circumference of 57 cm.
